Enhanced Azipull Manoeuvring

Objective

This course provides participants with basic knowledge of Rolls Royce Icon Dynamic Positioning (DP) equipment and to provide an insight into the principles and practice of operating Azipull propulsion units.

Participants

The course is designed for experienced DP Operators preparing to work with Rolls Royce Icon DP equipment and Azipull configured vessels.

  • Familiarisation with the component parts of the Icon DP system.
  • Familiarisation with Icon GUI and control systems.
  • Understanding the Icon DP modes of control.
  • Alarms and message handling.
  • Icon Sensors and views.
  • Consequence analysis.
  • Operator manuals.
  • Azipull manoeuvring theory
  • Benefits of Azipull vs Azimuth.
  • Introduction to Helicon X3.
  • Operational use of Azipull.
  • Emergency controls.
  • Practical exercises.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements

This unit requires the ability to read and interpret typical product specifications, job sheets, procedures, and safety information as provided to operators. Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms. The course is delivered in English.

Assessment & Competency Achievement

There is no formal assessment carried out at the completion of the course. 100% attendance and participation in the course is required. Participants will be awarded a certificate of Training on completion of the course.

4 Days:
Day 1 8:30am to 4:30pm
Day 2 8:30am to 4:30pm
Day 3 8:30am to 4:30pm
Day 4 8:30am to 4:00pm

Course Fee and Additional Service Costs

$7,115.00 + GST

This course fee includes lunch, and morning and afternoon tea at the center.
