Offshore Crane Refresher
Objective
The Offshore Crane Refresher is used to assess the continued competence of offshore crane operators. Crane operators will be made aware and informed of the latest developments in industry, including reviewing actual incidents to enhance awareness and the effectiveness of risk assessment, task planning and management of change.
With the aid of the simulator providing a virtual offshore environment, the course exposes the participants to extreme conditions and emergency situations to test and improve their responses in a safe and controlled environment.
Participants
Participants should have a current Offshore Crane Qualification and be experienced in all facets of crane operations.
Course Pre-requisites
- Offshore Crane Qualification
- Offshore crane logbook detailing all lifting operations
- Detailed CV (resume) with contactable references to verify experience.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
This unit requires the ability to read and interpret typical product specifications, job sheets, procedures, material labels and safety information as provided to operators. Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms. Numeracy is required to calculate loads and estimate balance points for slinging. You may be required to undertake a LL&N test.
Assessment & Competency Achievement
This course includes written tests, projects, and practical simulator observations.
Course Duration
1 Day: 8:30am to 4:30pm

$2,710.00 + GST
This course fee includes morning tea and lunch at the centre.
